As we are a British based company, you will not have the shock of having to pay UK import duty and VAT on your orders. If you were to purchase direct from an American or non-European Union company you would be hit by these hidden fee's which would not be shown on their websites. The US cost price would not include UK import duty and VAT, which you have to pay on anything over the cost of $100.
On a wedding gown these hidden costs are often in excess of £100!!!
